Flareon SFN7 002F provides the best overall perform ance with low CPU utilization for 10G bE networking. W ith a PCIe 3.0 host interface, an all new internal data-path m icro-architecture, the addition of a hardware switch fabric, and featuring a full set of stateless offloads, SFN7 002F reduces CPU processing overhead for the m ost dem anding network tasks in data center, enterprise, cloud, and network-attached storage networks. SFN7 002F also accelerates database, social networking, em ail and other storage-intensive applications w ith high bandw idth and low latency network access to SAN and NAS environm ents. Unique Application Performance SFN7 002F's unique hardware-accelerated virtualized NIC (vNIC) architecture provides concrete benefits to m ulti-core com puting. In m any cases, network traffic that is directed to a single CPU core can overload the core and create a perform ance bottleneck. SFN7 002F can use up to 204 8 vNICs and 24 0 virtual functions to im plem ent Receive Side Scaling (RSS) and accelerate Receive Flow Steering (RFS) to distribute network traffic across m ultiple cores. These technologies allow the networking I/O processing to be spread across the available CPU cores, elim inating processing bottlenecks and dram atically im proving application perform - ance and scalability. SFN7 002F also im proves data intensive key value storage applications such as NoSQ L , m em cached, Couchbase and other big data applications by accelerating throughput and reducing latency for com pute and Ethernet storage. SFN7 002F also features hardware acceleration to optim ize packet delivery, such as integrated layer 2 switching capability and VL AN insertion/ rem oval, along with TCP segm entation offload (TSO ) to reduce CPU load. Scalable, Hardware-Assisted Virtualization W ith 10x the num ber of vNICs and virtual PCIe functions than the com petition, SFN7 002F perform ance scales as the num ber of CPU cores and VM s increase, supporting m ore applications per physical server, i.e., greater VM density . SFN7 002F also supports NetQ ueue, VM Q , and SR-IO V used to accelerate guest applications in leading hypervisors, such as ESXi, H yper-V, KVM , and Xen. This relieves network I/O bottlenecks dedicating full network bandwidth directly to VM s while m aintaining full hypervisor m anagem ent services. Sixteen physical PCIe functions enable finer granularity and greater scalability when allocating Q uality of Service for optim ized bandwidth utilization as I/O dynam ically fluctuates . Platform for Delivering Network Services Flareon SFN7 002F enables deploying servers for a wide range of applications with a single server adapter. SFN7 002F with AppFlex™ technology provides the flexibility to selectively add and control services. W ith an O penO nload ® upgrade, SFN7 002F can bypass kernel and networking overheads to deliver unm atched m essage rates with ultra low latency and low jitter.
