SFA7942Q com prises an innovative integration of an advanced FPG A onboard Solarflare’s industry-leading low -latency 40G bE server adapter. SFA7942Q is an open platform that supports applications developed by Solarflare, custom ers, and third-party developers. SFA 7942Q provides users a unique advantage w ith an open platform for "on-the- fly" processing of netw ork data that com bines the industry’s highest perform ing, low est latency server adapter w ith an advanced FPG A acceleration engine. B y processing data in hardw are before it’s presented to the server C PU , the SFA 7942Q reduces application run-tim es, decreases overall latency, and m inim izes server CPU workloads. A s a result, users can expect to see dram atic im provem ents in application perform ance, w hile m aintaining full com patibility w ith Solarflare’s existing server adapter drivers and O penO nload m iddlew are. Architecture for Application Acceleration The SFA 7942Q architecture enables users to m igrate portions of their business logic – that can be parallelized and perform faster in hardw are – to the FPG A. This provides users the ability to optim ize their com pute and netw ork infrastructure for specific application processing loads. SFA 7942Q ’s bum p-in-the- w ire architecture also enables a seam less, low -latency and high throughput data path to host applications by reducing m essage transit tim e com pared to alternative solutions, and leveraging its tight integration w ith Solarflare’s O penO nload network acceleration . Com prehensive Developm ent Environm ent C ustom ized applications can be easily developed and deployed utilizing A O E’s com prehensive developm ent environm ent w ith the SFA 7942Q and the A O E O pen Firm w are D evelopm ent Kit (FD K). A O E accelerates deploym ent tim e as w ell as processing tim e w ith a highly-integrated FPG A subsystem featuring tools, services, A PIs, and a full data path infrastructure.
