The PL5R is a rechargable worklight and torch with lithium ion battery, dimmer switch and USB powered input. Before attempting to use this worklight, please read this manual thoroughly and follow the instructions carefully. ENVIRONMENTAL RECYCLING POLICY Through purchase of this worklight, the customer is taking on the obligation to deal with the WEEE in accordance with the WEEE regulations in relation to the treatment, recycling & recovery and environmentally sound disposal of the WEEE. In effect, this means that this worklight must not be disposed of with general household waste. It must be disposed of according to the laws governing Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) at a recognised disposal facility. GUARANTEE This worklight is guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt which will be required as proof of purchase. This guarantee is invalid if the worklight is found to have been abused or tampered with in any way, or not used for its intended purpose. Faulty goods should be returned to their place of purchase, no worklight can be returned to us without prior permission. This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights.

Read these instructions carefully be fore use and keep them for future reference. 2. DO NOT look directly into the worklight when it is switched on. 3. Keep the worklight out of the reach of children. 4. Charge the worklight in a dry indoor location. 5. DO NOT immerse in water or any other liquid. 6. ALWA YS fully charge before first use. 7. DO NOT turn on the light when charging. 8. DO NOT leave the worklight on charge for more than 24 hours. 9. DO NOT disassemble the worklight as there are no user changeable parts. 10. Recharge the worklight every six months. 11. This worklight utilise a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that can rupture, ignite and cause serious injury if being used incorrectly. 12. Please check the following safety rules:
- DO NOT place batteries and worklight in a fire or high temperature. DO NOT tamper with the battery or wiring. DO NOT puncture or damage the batteries. DO NOT dispose of the worklight in a fire or water. 13. Failure to heed these warning may result in personal injury or property damage. 14. The light source contained in this worklight has a life expectancy of approximately 50000 hours after which the worklight should be disposed of according to the laws governing Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) at a recognised disposal facility.

Parts & Service: 020 8988 7400 / E-mail: Parts@clarkeinternational.com or Service@clarkeinternational.com CHARGING THE WORKLIGHT NOTE: Charge the work light immediately after purchase, after each use and at least every 6 months. Failure to do this will reduce the battery’s capacity and may void the warranty. 1. Open the water resistant cover of the charging socket and connect the USB charging cable supplied to the worklight. 2. Connect the USB end of the cable to the adaptor plug supplied or a USB power supply port. The battery/charging status indicator will flash during charging. All 4 indicator lights will stay on once fully charged. Charging will take approximately 3-4 hours depending on how much power is still in the battery at the start of charging, age of the product and temperature. OPERATION NOTE: Please check the worklight for damage before use. STRIP LIGHT 1. To switch on, roll the dimmer switch wheel upwards. You will hear a click when the light switches on. 2. Use the dimmer switch wheel to select the required light output. CAUTION: PLEASE MAKE SURE THE ADAPTER USED IS 5.0V/1.0A OR LESS THAN 1.0A IN ORDER TO ENSURE THE WORKLIGHT IS NOT DAMAGED.

Adjust the light to the required position by rotating the light through 2 axises of 180o each (see page 4) 4. The light can be positioned on or above the work area by either the hook on the bottom, or magnets on the back and bottom of the light. 5. To switch off, roll the dimmer swit ch wheel downwards until you hear the click sound. TORCH 1. Press the Torch On/Off switch to switch on. 2. Adjust the light to the required position by rotating the light through 2 axises of 180o each (see page 4) 3. The light can be position on or above the work area by either the hook on the bottom, or magnets on the back and bottom of the light. 4. To switch off, press the Torch On/Off switch again. NOTE: Both the strip light and torch can be on at the same time.
