The device contains a 17 mΩ low on-resistance N-channel MOSFET that can support a maximum continuous current of 6 A. DIA7610 operates from a wide range of 0.6 V to 5.5 V of supply voltage. The VOUT rise time can be programmed by setting an additional capacitor to theSSpin. The DIA7610 integrated an internal 100 Ω on-chip load resistor for quick output discharge when the switch is turned off. Ultra-low on-resistance makes thisproductidealfordrivingprocessorrailswithtight voltagedropouttolerances. Thedeviceoffersovertemperatureprotection.When the junction temperature rises above 160°C, the over-temperatureprotectionfunctionshutsdownthe N-channel MOSFET power switch and turns the power switch on automatically when the temperaturedrops by25°C. TheDIA7610is availableinDFN2*2-8package.Itis specified over ambient temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, which meets the requirements of automotiveapplications. SimplifiedSchematic

BIAS undervoltagelockout(UVLO) Wronglogiccontrolsarepreventedbyanundervoltagelockout(UVLO)circuitwhichmonitorstheBIASpins voltage.Duringpoweringon,theUVLOfunctioninitiatesasoft-startprocessaftertheBIASsupplyvoltages exceedtherisingUVLOvoltagethreshold. 9.2. Soft-start Anadjustablesoft-startcircuitry isprovidedbythefamilyofDIA7610tocontrol therising rateoftheoutput voltage and limits the current surge during start-up. The soft-start time is set with a capacitor from the SS pin to the ground. 9.3. Enablecontrol TheEN/ENB pinscanenable anddisable thedevice,pulling theENB pin above1Vor ENbelow0.4 Vwill disable the device, and pulling the ENB pin below 0.4 V or EN above 1 V will enable the device. The EN/ENBpinscannotbeleftfloating. 9.4. Quick-outputdischarge(QOD) There is a QOD feature included in the family of DIA7610. An internal discharge resistance is connected betweenVOUTandGNDtoremovetheremainingchargefromtheoutputwhentheswitchisdisabled.This resistancehas atypical value of100Ωand prevents theoutputfromfloatingwhile theswitchisdisabled. It isrecommendedthatthedevicegetsdisabledbeforeVBIAS fallsbelowtheminimumrecommendedvoltage. 9.5. Over-temperatureprotection(OTP) TheinternalthermalsensecircuitturnsoffthepowerFETwhenthejunctiontemperatureexceeds160°Cto allow the device to cool down. The internal thermal sense circuit will enable the device when the device’s junction temperature cools by 25°C, resulting in a pulsed output during continuous thermal protection. For normal operation, the junction temperature cannot exceed TJ = 125°C, and thermal protection is designed toprotecttheICintheeventofover temperatureconditions.

LayoutGuidelines The PCB layout should be carefully performed to maximize thermal dissipation and to minimize voltage drop, droop and EMI. The input capacitors near the VIN pin as close as possible, output decoupling capacitorsforloadmustbeplacedneartheloadascloseaspossiblefordecouplinghighfrequencyripples, and locate DIA7610 and output capacitors near the load to reduce parasitic resistance and inductance for excellentloadtransientperformance.
