Act Fast CP348 is based on Exar’s fully UART compatible low power chip XR17V354, optimized for plug&play use. Most operating systems such as Windows®, Linux®, or VxWorks® have drivers available. T o make the migration from CP347 to CP348 an easy task, the chip is software compatible to the XR17D154 which has been used in the predecessor CP347. Hardware interfaces of CP348 and CP347 are compatible as well. Improve Communication CP348 supports all modes: RS232, RS422 full duplex, and RS485 half duplex. Four independent UART channels are individually configurable for all modes via mini dip switches. T o work in the widest range of markets, the CP348 is galvanically isolated. Live Effectively Whenever serial communication is required in CompactPCI systems, CP348 is a very cost effective solution, long term avail - able, and safe.
