This m ay be done w ith an open collector transistor, relay, or optocoupler. C onverters m ay be disabled w ith a single transistor or relay either directly or via “O R ’ing” diodes for 2 or m ore converters. See F igure 2. Prim ary A uxiliary Supply D uring norm al operation only, the PC Pin can source 5 .7 V @ 1 .5 m A . In the exam ple show n in F igure 4 , PC pow ers a m od - ule enabled L E D . M odule A larm The m odule contains “w atchdog” circuitry w hich m onitors input voltage, operating tem perature and internal operating param eters. In the event that any of these param eters are outside of their allow able operating range, the m odule w ill shut dow n and PC w ill go low . PC w ill periodically go high and the m odule w ill check to see if the fault (as an exam ple, Input U ndervoltage ) has cleared . If the fault has not been cleared, PC w ill go low again and the cycle w ill restart. The SC pin w ill go low in the event of a fault and return to its nor - m al state after the fault has been cleared. See F igures 3 and 5 . M odules of the sam e input voltage, output voltage, and pow er level w ill current share if all PR pins are suitably interfaced. C om patible interface architectures include the follow ing: AC coupled single-w ire interface. A ll PR pins are connected to a single com m unication bus through 0 .001 µF (5 00 V ) capacitors. This interface supports current sharing and is fault tolerant except for the com m unication bus. U p to three converters m ay be paralleled by this m ethod. See F igure 9.
