Cable tie m ethod (stand ard) A pipe or other structure mu st be available in the tank to w hich the plastic cable tie may be affixed. Referto Figure 7. Securethecabletothe structurewithone cable tie atthe m idpointof the strainrelief. Secure the second cable tie to the structure at the top end ofthe adjustablestrain relief,leavingapproximatelytwo inches (51mm) of free strainrelieftow ardsthe float. Proceed towiretheunit. NO TE: Be surethatnothing inthe tank preventsthe full extension ofthecable in eitherdirection. T10 levelswitchmay be m ounted by usingcableties includedw ith the unit,or by theoptionalcablew eight wh ich m ustbe purchased separately. CAU TION: The recommend ed m ethod ofcarrying theT10 isby thecable.The unique moving ballastinthe unitmay cause ittounexpectedlyflip out ofthe individual’shands. M O U N T I N G P R O C E D U R E Cablewe ightmet hod (optional) When an anchoring structure in the tank isnotavailable,the cable w eight m ethod shou ld be used. Referto Figure 8. Position the adjustable strain relief on the cableto allow one half the distance of the desired differential band between the midpointof the adjustablestrainreliefon the float. Rem ove one of the screw s in the clamp at the top of the w eight. Loosen the second screw. Referto Figure9. Position the w eight at the m id - point of the adjustable strain relief. Tighten both screw s to secure the weightto the cable.Be sure the cable cannot be pulled through the adjustablestrain relief. Low erthe unitinthe tank untilthe cable we ight ispositioned at the midpointofthe desired differential band. Secure the cable at the top of the tank. DO NO T secure the cable to any sharp objectw hich could cut the cable. Wire according to the terminal connection drawing below. CAUTION: 1. The unused wire (third wire) must be electrically insulated. 2. Do not fasten electrical cable onto rough or sharp surfaces. 3.
