Hall Latch Position Sensor 2 V3.10 Nov 1, 2013 General Description The SS2019 is an integrated Hall effect latched sen- sor designed for electronic commutation of brush-less DC motor applications . The device inte- grates a voltage regulator, reverse battery protection diode, Hall sensor with dynamic offset cancellation system, temperature compe nsation circuitry, small signal amplifier, S chmitt tr igger and an open-collector output to sink up to 25 mA. These Hall-effect switches are monolithic integrated circuits with tighter magnetic specifications, d e- signed to operate continuously over extended tem- peratures to +150 °C,and are more stable with both temperature and supply voltage changes. If a ma g- netic flux density larger than threshold Bop, Output is turned on (low). The output state is held until a magnetic flux density reversal falls below Brp, causing Output to be turned off (high). Thanks to its wide operating voltage range and e x- tended choice of temperature range, it is quite suita- ble for use in DC motor applications. The device is delivered in a Small Outline Transistor (SOT) or in a Plastic S ingle In Line ( SIP 3L flat). Both 3-lead packages are RoHS compliant.
