The AIMS Power pre-wired lithium battery cabinet is easy to set up and only requires a few connections to the AIMS Power hybrid inverter. Unpacking the cabinet Make sure there is no damage to the cabinet, all wires are secure, and the cabinet is stable. Check for the following included components: 1. Four eyehooks 2. Cabinet key 3. Battery cables from battery cabinet to AIMS Power hybrid inverter. 4. COM cable from battery cabinet to AIMS Power hybrid inverter. 5. Separate 12V batteries connected in series to power the cabinet’s BMS. The cables and fuse kit that connect the battery cabinet to the inverter must be purchased separately. Battery Cabinet Front (BMS) B1 = Master battery B2 & B3 = Slave battery (if using more than one cabinet) COM1 = Master COM2 & COM3 = Slave ON/OFF = Power switch ADDR= Dip switch. If using one battery cabinet, dip switch number one should be in the up position and all others in the down position. If using two battery cabinets, dip switch number two should be in the up position and all others in the down position. If using 3 battery cabinets, dip switch number three should be in the up position and all others in down position. Dip switch number four is not used and should stay down. The master battery cabinet works with two slave batteries max.
The back of the battery cabinet is where you will find the ports to connect to the AIMS Power hybrid inverter. Connect to the AIMS Power hybrid inverter using the battery cabinet’s terminals labeled P- and P+ and COM ports to the AIMS Power hybrid inverter’s BAT + and BAT - and COM ports (CAN). More information about the AIMS Power Hybrid Inverters can be found on the AIMS Power website. It is recommended to use an inline fuse between the battery and inverter. Install the fuse closest to the battery cabinet on the positive cable. A fuse kit can be purchased through AIMS Power direct. NOTE: Do you reverse the polarity. If the polarity is reversed, it will void warranty. Make sure all power sources are off when making connections.
