Description: Compensating cable offers similar voltage and temperature characteristics as the thermocouple over a limited range. They are produced with dissimilar metals as to those used to manufacture the thermocouples and as such offer a cost saving over both the thermocouple and extension cable, however, extension cables are manufactured with similar metals to thermocouples and that allows them to be more accurate.
