B40 levelswitches employ permanent magn eticforce as the link between the float and the switching element.As the pivoted floatfollows liquid levelchanges,itmoves a ma gnetic sleeve into or out of the fieldof a switch actuating mag net causing switch operation. A non- ma gnetic barrier tube effectively isolates the switch mec hanism from the controlled liquid.
