Parex® MICROGOBETIS 3000 January 2022, Version 01.01 021890200000000002 PRODUCT DATA SHEET Parex® MICROGOBETIS 3000 SUCTION CONTROL & BONDING COAT FOR / HIGH ABSORPTION / SMOOTH SURFACES E.G. CON- CRETE AND LIGHTWEIGHT BLOCKWORK
DESCRIPTION
A pink coloured liquid with a high granular consistency for ease of application recognition, and to provide ex- cellent bonding characteristics. MICRO GOBETIS 3000 is designed to control suction to high absorption or low porosity substrates and improves the adhesion for one coat render systems e.g. MONOREX GM* & MON- OREX GF*, MONOBLANCO*, BLANC DU LITTORAL* etc, and the PAREXTHERM and PAREXDIRECT Render Sys- tems. * Refer to the specific product data sheets. USES Suction control and bonding coat. CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES Pink in colour for ease of identification/application▪ Excellent bonding characteristics▪ PRODUCT INFORMATION Composition Acrylic co-polymer dispersion of mineral filler and specific admixtures. Packaging 20 kg bucket Shelf life 12 months from date of manufacture if stored in unopened original pack- ing in dry, frost-free, cool conditions. Storage conditions Dry, frost free conditions. pH-Value 8.5 Consumption This information is provided as guidance only, excludes wastage and will vary subject to the application and substrate. 250 to 500 g/m2 (40 - 80 m2 per 20 kg bucket) depending on the substrate surface condition. Expect increased consumption on high absorption substrates e.g. light- weight aircrete blockwork and phenolic insulation. BASIS OF PRODUCT DATA All technical data stated in this Product Data Sheet are based on laboratory tests. Actual measured data may vary due to circumstances beyond our control. IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS Do not dilute the product unless using as recommen- ded on the above applications. The substrate must be dry, sound, clean and free from de-bonding agents and powdery substances. Do not apply on wet substrates.▪ Temperature range : +5 °C to + 30 ºC. ▪ ECOLOGY, HEALTH AND SAFETY 1 /
Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye / face protection. This product contains materials which may cause an allergic reaction, is irritating to eyes and harmful if swallowed. In case of contact, seek medical advice. Keep out of the reach of children. Read and follow the guidelines in the Health and Safety data sheet for this product. SUBSTRATE QUALITY SUITABLE SUBSTRATES For external and internal use on smooth, low porosity substrates such as cast concrete, concrete panels or engineering bricks or high absorption substrates such as lightweight aircrete blockwork, common bricks and certain float-smoothed, well adhered, render surfaces. APPLICATION HIGH AND LOW POROSITY MASONRY AND CONCRETE SUBSTRATES For low porosity substrates. Apply in a single coat us- ing a roller or brush. On high absorption substrates e.g. lightweight air- crete blockwork, apply a first coat of MICROGOBETIS 3000 and if required, this can be diluted with up to 25 % clean water to aid application of the first coat for a two coat application. Test the substrate for suc- tion i.e. using a plasterers paddle brush, cast some water at the treated surface and if it sucks in, apply a further coat, if it sits on the surface, the substrate is ready for the render application. To avoid excessive applications, it is recommended this procedure is completed after the first coat, as subsequent coats may not be required. Once suction control is satis- factory continue with the application EXTERNAL WALL INSULATION SYSTEM USING PHEN- OLIC INSULATION When applying MICRO GOBETIS 3000 onto phenolic insulation follow the same procedure as detailed above for high absorption substrates. This applica- tion will require a minimum of two coats. GENERAL APPLICATION NOTES The render coat can be applied as soon as the MICRO GOBETIS 3000 is dry, i.e. after 1 to 24 hours depend- ing on weather conditions. On Phenolic insulation this can generally occur immediately after the 2nd coat. Fully mix the product before use to maintain an even consistency. MICRO GOBETIS 3000 is best applied by brush or me- dium lambs wool roller as other roller types LOCAL RESTRICTIONS Please note that as a result of specific local regulations the declared data for this product may vary from country to country.
