The D S E 8680 m odule is designed to control a generator bus-tie breaker. The m odule m anages the synchronising and check-sync across the breaker autom atically, via the D S E M S C (M ulti-set C om m unications) Link, w hen opening or closing the bus-tie breaker. The D S E 8680 m odule has been designed to w ork w ith the D S E 8x10 and D S E 8x60 Load S hare control m odules w hich support up to sixteen D S E 8680s w ith no D S E 8x60 or up to tw o D S E 8680s w ith one to fourteen D S E 8x60s. This provides a standalone, fully integrated solution, w ithout the need for P LC .
