Those are especiall y suitable fo r stereo headphone radio and ra dio cassett e recorder equip ment s. These item can realize the low power dissipation and few external parts. The basis co mposi tio n of th e em itter -grou nd am pli fiers is shown as Fig.3 z Detector circuit This stage is co mposed of t he quadrat ure detect or circuit, which has double banlanced. <AM SECTION> z RF am plifier (see Fig.4) This stag e is co mposed of e mitte r-grounded am pli fier , t he input im pedance of wh ich h as about 7.3k Ω. It is ne cessary to connect as Fig.4, because the condenser , C1 i s available to the au dio by-pass o f the RF-AGC, the noise of low frequency . z Mixer circuit The a mplified RF sig nal is t ran sfor med in to IF signal by the mixer ci rcuit , which i s com posed of a dif ferential am plifier . z IF am plifier This stag e is co mposed o f fo ur e mitt er -ground ed am pl ifi ers and the two dif ferential am pli fiers. Th e in put i mped ance is rather high , because it is changed b y the a mpl it ude of inp ut signal (AGC leve l). So th e in put ter min al of the IF am plifier m ust be m atched with the im pedance of ceram ic filter .

In case of the opened, this IC has AM m ode. Anothe r in ca se that the te rm inal i s connected to Vcc di rect ly , that ha s FM mode. And the term inal of pin 2 is Vcc term inal of FM FRONT END section, too. z Output circuit (see Fig.5) Both of th e AM/ FM detecto r si gnal is ap peare d through the pin 8. Those ou tput are cho sen by the mode switchover . At th e same ti me, the output i mpedance i s changed as follo w at AM/ FM mode, due to cut the AM carrier sign al and pass the FM co mposit e signal s moo thly , with only one condenser . D7792 8
