WWW.Microsemi .COM SRDA70-4 DA70-4 DESCRIPTION TVS arrayTM SERIES These low capacitance diode arrays a re multiple, discrete, isolate d junctions fabricated by a plana r process and mounted in a S O-8 package for use as steering di odes p rotecting up to fou r I/O po rts fro m ESD, EFT, or surge by directing them either to the positive side of the power supply line or to ground (see schematic, page 2). An external TVS diode may be a dded between the positive su pply line and groun d to pre vent overvoltage on the sup ply rail. These a rrays offer many advantages of integrate d circuits such as hi gh- density packaging and improved reliability. This is a result of fe wer pick and place operations, smaller footprint, sm aller weight, and elimination of various discrete packages that may not be as user friendly in PC board mounting.
