Description
The SPPOS C Series is a compact, dual channel, phase continuous, DSP based, prog rammable si ne wave generator with an alog outputs an d 8 or 9 bits of frequency selection. All SPPOSC-01 platforms are small, low profile, easy to use signal generators, which require n o e xternal comp onents and can cover th e audio/ultrasonic bandwidth from 1 Hz to 102.4 kHz in several standard and custom frequency ranges. SPPOSC’s use a fixed point DSP with 32-bit math, 24- bits of resolution and dual channel DACs. Noise floo r and distortion are typically –100dB to 20 kHz and < – 80 dB to 100 kHz. Features/ Benefits:

- Logic “1” 3.5VDC Min – 5Vdc Max Bit Weighting (Binary Coded) D0 LSB D7 or D8 (for 9-bits) MSB Frequency: 256:1 (8-bit dual), or 512:1 (9-bit single) 1. The fre quency sele ction d ata wo rd b us con sists of D0 to D7 for 8-bit programming and D0 to D8 for 9-bit programming. 2. For dual Channel 8-Bit programming D8 is Channel Select and re quires a mini mum of 21 µse cs set-up time at a logic “1”, 5volts for channel 2 or logic “0”, 0 volts, for Channel 1 3. For an 8-bit dual ch annel unit, the Program enable or “Latch pin” is D9. To enable a p rogram change, this pin must be pulled to a logic high “1” or 5 volts. If the pin is low, a frequency change will not be read and th e chan nels will continue to run t he p revious values. 4. The D0 – D 9 bus data are checked simultaneously. New fre quency sele ction data mu st b e present o r updated at t he time Channel select o ccurs to be valid. The Progra m ena ble or “L atch” pin must b e high. While the latch pin is high, the Frequency data must remai n on the bus until the u ser applie s the next frequency change. The pins do not float during programming! The frequency ports are polled by the system every 21 µ seconds. Within 21 µ secs of programming, if the latch goes low, the programmed values are retained and the pins may float. There are three software configurations available for these SPPOSC-01 / –02 oscillators. Software Options: 1. SWDO-01 to –05: Dual channel with independently selectable frequencies. 2. SWSO-01 to –04: Dual Channel, same output and same frequency selection. 3. SWQO-01 to –04: Quadrature, single frequency selection and Sine/Cosine outputs. All configurations are available with custom frequency selections. Consult factory for a quotation. These special programs will be assigned a custom suffix (CXX) at the time of order.
