Description
The RSM3203/04/05 are a family of small size, high efficiency step -down power module optimized for high density application. The device can operate at switching frequency up to 4MHz to reduce the size of external components. The device has trim option of PFM/PWM mode or forced PWM mode. At PFM/PWM mode, the device transits between PFM and PWM mode automatically to save power at light load condition. At forced PWM mode, the device operates at 4MHz switching frequency. With 4 selectable output voltage options via trim, the device requires a minimum number of external components for output voltage setting. The input voltage of RSM3203/04/05 is from 2.4V to 5.5V. The output current is up to 3A. RSM3203/04/05 are available in a 2.0mm x 2.5 mm, 10-pin LGA package. Pin Description Top View VIN 1 VIN EN PG VOUT VOUT VOUT FB GND GND LGA-10 (2.0 mmx2.5 mm) NAME Pin Number Description VIN 1, 2 Power supply input. Place a 4.7uF or larger value ceramic capacitor close to VIN pin. VOUT 5, 6, 7 Output voltage pin. GND 9, 10 Ground pin. Connect this pin close to GND terminal of input and output capacitors. FB 8 Output sense pin for VOUT regulation. Connect this pin directly to the output capacitor with a short trace when used as VOUT pin. Connect this pin to VOUT with a resistor divider when used as FB pin. EN 3 High level to enable the device, and low level to turn the device off. This pin has an internal pulldown resistor. The pulldown resistor is disconnected when the device is enabled and the output voltage is regulated. The resistor is connected once a low level is detected on the pin. PG 4 Open drain power good indicator. Connect this pin to VIN or other pull up voltage with a pull up resistor (1k~100k)
