It in corporates a high dyn amic range externally modulated transmitter, RF preamplifier, op tical re ceiver, RF post amplifier an d optical AGC. It provides +6 dBm mini mum of optical output power. The op tical AGC p rovides fixe d gain operation for a constant RF input power and varying optical link budgets. The unit can be use d to constr uct transpa rent optical links for microwave test cell ant enna remoti ng, microwave signal distribution, microwave delay lines, point-to-point data links and other application s where it is necessary to transport RF and microwave signals over long distances without signal degradation.
