www.e-t-a.de ControlPlex® Rack 1623 Description – Power-D-Box® The ControlPlex® Rack is an intelligent and remotely controlla- ble 2U power distribution system made of aluminium in a closed housing, protected against brush contact featuring an extremely compact design. The system has been especially designed for the selective protection of systems with minus supply (DC -48 V or DC -60 V) which are widely used in communication engineering. In order to avoid voltage dips of switch-mode power supplies in the event of overload or short circuit, protection is effected by means of intelligent, short-circuit current limited electronic circuit protectors. The plug-in type terminal design of the loads and the design allowing extension in operation help to significantly reduce installation and maintenance time. www.e-t-a.de ESX300S for ControlPlex® Rack 1623 ControlPlex® Rack Description – ESX300S Technical data (Tamb = 25 °C, UB = DC -48 V) The electronic circuit protector ESX300-S has been designed for protection and monitoring systems in telecommunications. Focus application of this device is the minus switching of loads widely used in telecommunications in power supply systems with rated voltage DC -48 V and DC -60 V. The additionally available overcurrent protection, realised by means of electronic current limitation and electronic disconnection, reliably prevents the destruction of electronic sub-assemblies or load lines by overload or short circuit. In addition, the electronic current limitation helps to prevent high currents flowing in the event of a short circuit, which could cause undesired voltage dips and lead to system crashes. Major applications are power distribution systems in telecommuni- cations engineering. The electronic circuit protectors type ESX300-S are fitted into 19" or ETSI racks and are available in various current ratings from 2 A to 24 A. www.e-t-a.de Remote Signalling Interface RSI10 ControlPlex® Rack 1623 Description – Remote Signalling Interface Typical applications of the Remote Signalling Interface RSI10 include the potential-free signalling of alarms of the ESX300-S electronic circuit pro- tectors with bus interface used in the ControlPlex ® Rack system (type: ESX300-S-3xx). The competitive edge of this sub-assembly is its compatibility for future system extensions with the remote control and monitoring module RCI10. When using the RSI10 sub-assembly, the electronic circuit protectors do no longer have to be replaced in the event of a possible system exten- sion when operating the ControlPlex ® Rack with group signalling. Other advantages include an additional visual failure indication by means of the integral tricoloured LED and the well-known plug-and-play capability. Major applications are in centralised control units of decentralised systems, e.g. in telecommunications engineering. www.e-t-a.de Remote Control Interface RCI10 ControlPlex® Rack 1623 Description – Remote control interface The Remote Control Interface RCI10 has been designed for the con- nection of the ControlPlex® Rack system to an superordinate control and monitoring unit. The Ethernet connection with integral SNMP protocol provides ease of implementation to a centralised management system. In addition the system can be controlled and monitored via a web browser surface. The RCI10 sub-assembly allows access to all installed ESX300-S circuit protectors by means of an internal bus system and can query or buffer individual measuring data, status conditions and fault indications and forward them to the superordi- nate control unit. In addition connected loads can be switched ON or OFF , either remotely or manually or in dependance of the data values. Major applications are in centralised control units of decentralised system, e.g. in telecommunications engineering. Network connection can be established after another 10 sec. pushed down for 35 sec green blinking reset IP address to factory settings By pushing the reset button for 35 seconds, the IP settings can be reset to factory settings. For visual control that the reset button was pushed down long enough, the green LED will blink for 5 seconds (see fig. 1). - red ON internal failure RCI10 Serious internal fault in the RCI10 assembly. The sub-assembly is no longer operational. The RCI10 sub-assembly should be replaced. - red ON serious internal fail- ure BUS (EL-BUS) ELBus ® fault. The communication with the circuit protector ESX300-S and the RCI10 is disrupted. - blue ON Ethernet link available If a network connection is established in operation (layer 1), the LED will be lighted blue for some 10 seconds. - blue ON reset IP address to factory settings The blue LED will be lighted for 10 seconds when the IP address has successfully been reset to factory settings, see fig. 1. Automatic booting will follow, this can last up to 60 seconds. - - OFF booting The RCI10 sub-assembly is booting. Booting can take up to 60 seconds. - - OFF no supply voltage No supply voltage or wrong polarity. pushed down for 3 sec - OFF warm boot The system can be reset by pushing the reset button for 3 seconds (warm boot). - OFF RCI10 sub-assembly defective Serious internal fault in the RCI10 assembly. LED remains dark after booting (max. 60 sec). The RCI10 sub-assembly must be replaced.
