Reference: QOD-510 Page 1 of 3 Tel: 864.963.6300 Fax: 864.963.6521 PBU-022015-CA Product/Process Bulletin Update PBU-022415-CA Standard Marking Format Change C3XX Series “Golden Max” Radial Leaded MLCCs In order to optimize efficiency and improve productivity, KEMET will initiate a change to the current marking format of all C340, C346, C350 and C356 style/size devices. The following changes will be implemented on April 6, 2015. 1. Voltage Rating and Dielectric (temperature coefficient) identification codes are being reduced to 1 (one) character. a. This change will standardize the identification codes across the entire C3XX “Golden Max” portfolio. C3XX devices with smaller body sizes are currently using a 1 (one) character identifier for both voltage rating and dielectric. b. Voltage Rating and Dielectric codes and definitions will match that of the ordering code. 2. The Date Code will no longer be included in the standard marking information for these devices. It will be available as a marking option only. KEMET has established an ordering code C‐SPEC to accommodate customers that require the date code be included in the marking information. a. The option to include the Date Code will only be made available on C340, C346, C350 and C356 style/size devices. CURRENT MARKING FORMAT NEW MARKING FORMAT
