The life expectancy of a reed switch is dependent upon the load being switched. At maximun rated loads life expectancy is approx. 6 operations. Lower load ratings can increase the life up to 5x10 8 operations. Mechanical life or low level loads can be at least 10 9 operations. Switching inductive, capacitive or lamp loads can considerably reduce the life expectancy. We offer a crop and form service for Reed Switches to be customized to your specification.
