End caps are fitted and termination wires welded to the caps. The resistive film is adjusted to the required valu e by a special helical cut; finally the flame retardant lacquer protection is applied to the resistor body and marked with an ind elible ink. Terminations Material Solder-coated copper wire. Strength The terminations meet the requirements of IEC 68.2.21 Solderability The terminations meet the requirements of IEC 115-1, Clause 4.17.3.2 Marking Resistance value and tolerances are identified in a ccordance with IEC62.4 - band colour code. A fifth (yellow) b and denotes that the product is fusible and suitable fo r use in constant voltage applications. Solvent Resistance The body protection and marking are resistant to al l normal industrial cleaning solvents suitable for printed c ircuits. Flammability The resistor coating will not burn or emit incandes cent particles under any condition of applied temperatur e or power overload. Component wires will not protrude beyond the outsid e edge of the tapes. Lead formed resistors can also be supplied. Standar d options of Lancet, Radial and Goalpost forming are shown in Lead Form Information section.
