Description
The ETC Emergency Telephone Cabinet, Fire- fighter’s Handset provides two-way emergency tele- phone communication between firefighters and other authorized personnel for a life safety system. It is designed for use with a variety of life safety con- trol systems. An added benefit is easy integration with systems that have addressable and zone tele- phone circuits in a single flexile product package. Typically, it is installed in corridors, lobbies, me- chanical control centers, stairways and other strate- gic locations in a facility. When the handset is lifted from the cradle, it activates a visible indication (LED) that contact has positively initiated. The ETC phone is ready for the operator to communicate with the system that is connected to the building firefighter emergency telephone communications system. It is field configurable for different voltage operations for both supervised and non-supervised systems. The unit has a red epoxy finish with enhanced graphics in white indelible ink permanently marked for identifi- cation. It also includes optional surface or flush mounting with no visible hardware. Model FHS Portable Firefighter’s Telephone Handset This handset comes with a coiled cord. The attached plug fits Firefighter’s Phone Jack, Model FPJ, allowing firefighters to make direct communica- tions with a central control area. The receptacle has a single phone jack mounted on an attractive, single-gang, stainless steel plate. Color-co ded wires, 6 inches (15.2 cm ) long, are prewired to the jack to enable fast and ac- curate wiring to the system. Backbox Overall Dimensions: The backbox dimensions appear in Figure 1.
