Plot refers to incident continuous power of “P” Watts 2. Mounting surface is assumed an isotherm at TM °C 3. Actual testing done at P = 100 Watts, TM = 100 °C 4. Plot based on 1-dimensional heat transfer formula: T = TM + PR, where T = area-average resistive film temperature, held to 150 °C, max. R = thermal resistance, mounting surface to resistive film ≈ 0.5 °C/W f or 30- and 20- dB devices (other values will run cooler and therefore h andle more power – consult factory) Power Handling (Watts) Mounting Surface Temperature (°C) * Test Condition: W ith m ounting surface tem perature = 75 °C, m ax. (see plot above). A ctual test conditions are as follow s: Flange attached to a large copper carrier w hose surface, directly under the flange center, is held at 10 0 °C; pow er applied = 10 0 W atts. Specification: The attenuation shall change no m ore that 0 .2 dB during and after a 10 0 -hr. Burn-in per M IL-PRF-55342. ** A ttenuation vs. frequency as a function of tem perature, -55°C to +125°C AMERICAN TECHNICAL CERAMICS www.atceramics.com ATC North America sales@atceramics.com ATC Asia sales@atceramics-asia.com ATC Europe saleseur@atceramics.com Sales of ATC products are subject to the term s and conditions contained in Am erican Technical Ceram ics Corp.
