Electrodemustnotbescratchedbefore/during/afterthemountingprocess. Contactsandhousingusedforassemblywiththermistorhavetobecleanbeforemounting.Es- peciallygreaseoroilmustberemoved. WhenPTCthermistorsareencapsulatedwithsealingmaterial,theprecautionsgiveninchapter "Mountinginstructions","Sealingandpotting"mustbeobserved. Whenthethermistorismounted,theremustnotbeanyforeignbodybetweentheelectrodeof thethermistorandtheclampingcontact. TheminimumforceoftheclampingcontactspressingagainstthePTCmustbe10N. Duringoperation,thethermistor’ssurfacetemperaturecanbeveryhigh.Ensurethatadjacent componentsareplacedatasufficientdistancefromthethermistortoallowforpropercoolingat thethermistors.
