DESCRIPTION

The Releasing Device Unit (RDU) provides the 7200 Series fire alarm control panel with the ability to control the operation of up to ten (10) fire suppression systems and also provides communication with all sensors and control modules used for op- eration of these systems. It contains a 20-character display to indicate the state of any of its suppression systems. The RDU features a signaling line circuit that can accommodate 99 analog sensors and 98 monitor and/or output modules (AMM-2/-4, AOM-2). It also provides an RS-485 circuit for connection of up to 31 remotely located Abort/Timer Units (ATU). Sensors can be cross-zoned or configured in a counting zone for automatic activation of a suppression system. Monitor mod- ules may be used in conjunction with manual release stations, abort switches and “squirt” switches for reactivation of a dis- charge control. Control modules can be configured for any of the following: /c183Prealarm interlock /c183Prerelease interlock /c183Release interlock Compatible solenoids for use with the control modules used for releasing are: /c183Skinner Models LV2LBX25, 73218BN4UNLVNOC111C2, 73212BN4TNLVNOC322C2, 71395SN2ENJ1NOH111C2, 24 VDC. /c183Asco Models T8210A107, 8210G207, 24 VDC A “DISCONNECT” switch is provided for the circuit and allows the system to be serviced and/or tested without activating any releasing devices. LEDs mounted on the RDU include a red “ALARM” LED and yellow “TROUBLE” LED for its signal- ing line circuit. A pluggable terminal block is provided on the RDU for the connection of all circuits. This terminal block will accommodate wire sizes up to 12 AWG. The Releasing Device Unit (RDU) is a full-size unit and mounts in any available module position. The Abort/Timer Unit (ATU) is an addressable abort switch containing a display for an individual suppression system. Upon suppression system activation by either manual or automatic means, the display indicates the time remaining until suppression discharge. The ATU may be remotely located and mounts on a conventional 3-gang electrical box.
