1 Introduction

The TAS5622-TAS5624DDVEVM PurePath™ EVM demonstratesthecurrentversionofTAS5622DDV or TAS5624DDV integratedcircuitpower stagewithTAS5538DGG fromTexas Instruments(TI). The TAS5622 and TAS5624 arehigh-performance,integratedStereoFeedback DigitalAmplifierPower Stagesdesignedtodrive3Ω speakersatup to200W perchannelforTAS5624DDV and 165W per channelforTAS5622DDV. They requireonlya passivedemodulationfiltertodeliverefficienthighquality audioamplification. TAS5538DGG isa highperformance32 bit(24bitinput)multichannelPurePath™ DigitalPulseWidth Modulator(PWM) withfullysymmetricalAD modulationscheme. The devicealsohas DigitalAudio Processing(DAP) thatprovides48 bitsignalprocessing,advanced performanceand a highlevelof systemintegration. ThisEVM can be configuredas 2 BTL channelsforstereoevaluationor1 PBTL (parallelBTL) channelfor subwooferevaluation.Togetherwitha TIInput-USBBoard 3,itprovidesa completestereodigitalaudio amplifiersystemwhichincludesdigitalinput(S/PDIF),analoginputs,interfacetoPC and DAP features likedigitalvolume control,inputand outputmixers,automute,tonecontrols,loudness,EQ filtersand dynamicrangecompression(DRC).Thereareconfigurationoptionsforpower stagefailureprotection.
