CS-2023 Rev. A page 2 of 2 www.gamewell-fci.com Standard Applications The MPS-8 is the Main Power Supply for the IF632 and IF650 FACPs. The MPS-8 provides 4.0 amps for system power and 4.0 amps for signal power. The MPS-8 also pro- vides power monitoring and battery charging capabilities for the system. The APS-8 is used whenever additional signal power or 24 VDC auxiliary power is required. The APS-8 connects directly to the USM signal module to simplify system design and installation. An unlimited number of APS-8 power sup- plies may be added to a system without affecting system I/O capacity. Engineer’s Specifications The Fire Alarm System shall be provided with an integral 8.0 amp power supply. The power supply shall be fully supervised and shall monitor for the presence of main AC power as well as battery power. The Main Power Supply shall also monitor for low/no battery and brownout condi- tions. The Main Power Supply shall be capable of charging
60 AH batteries and shall be equipped with automatic high-
rate circuitry. The Main Power Supply shall be Gamewell- FCI Model MPS-8. Auxiliary power supplies shall be supplied as required to power all signals and auxiliary devices. The Auxiliary Power Supply shall provide 8.0 amp of full-wave rectified power. Provisions shall be made on the Auxiliary Power Supply for battery backup as required. The Auxiliary Power Supplies shall be Gamewell-FCI Model APS-8 or APS632- Specifications Primary Input 120 VAC Secondary Input 24 VDC (nominal) Output 8.0A @ 24 VDC (nominal)
