AiT Semiconductor Inc. www.ait-ic.com A3085 RS-485 TRANSCEIVERS FAIL-SAFE, HIGH-SPEED SLEW-RATE-LIMITED REV1.0 - MAY 2020 RELEASED - - 1 - DESCRIPTION FEATURES The A3085 is a 5V, high-speed transceivers for RS485 communication contain on e driver and one receiver. The A3085 feature fail-safe circuitry, which guarantees a logic -high receiver output when the receiver input are open or shorted. This means that the receiver output will be a logi c high if all transmitters on a te rminated bus are disabled (high impedance). The A 3085 feature re duced slew -rate drivers that minimized EMI and reduce reflectio ns caused by improperly terminated cables. The A3085 offer hig her driver output slew-rate limits, allowing transmit speeds up to 500kbps. The A 3085 have a 1/8 -unit-load receiver input impedance that allows up to 256 transceivers on the bus. The A3085 is intended for half-duplex communications.
