U nlike conventional power supplies with fixed output ratings, they autom atically recalculate voltage and current lim its for each setting, providing any Volt/A m p com bination within the rated power. By providing greatly expanded choices of m axim um power Volt/A m p com binations, users can cut down on the num ber of power supplies required and free up valuable bench space. For exam ple, when setting the voltage on the 1 80 W m odel 91 1 1 to a m axim um of 6 0 V , the power supply can generate a m axim um current of 1 80 W /6 0 V = 3 A . For a 22.5 V setting, the m axim um current can be increased to 8 A .
