Edition • 2023-07-21T16:28:06+02:00 Potentiometer Amplifier 1-channel IM36-11EX-I/24VDC The 1-channel potentiometer amplifier IM36-11EX-I/24VDC is designed to transmit signals from 3 or 5-wire potentiometers gal- vanically isolated from the Ex area to the non- Ex area and to converted them into normal- ized 0…20 mA analog signals. The resistance value of the wiper contact, ranging from 0 ò to the nominal resistance value (final value) of the potentiometer, is detected and linearly processed. A potentiometer is defined by its nominal re- sistance value. Any potentiometer can be con- nected, provided the nominal resistance is 800 … 20000 ò. Common potentiometers featuring a nominal resistance of 1 kò or 10 kò can thus be used. The admissible line re- sistance is maximally 50 ò with a potentiome- ter resistance of 800 ò.
