The switch mountingholeson hermeticallysealed switches alsoneed environm entalpanelprotection frompossiblecontaminant seepage,i.e.,moisture,dust,spilled coke and coffee,etc.For thisreason,A PMhas developed a bonded silicone rubber-stainless steelswitchbushingseal(Fig.3).This specialseal,specificallydesigned forhermeticallysealedswitches,is superiortoordinary O-ringsorwashers and m eetsthestringentrequirementsofMIL-DTL-5423/16-01,MS 2519 6,and isa UL recognizedcompo nent.
