Low Profile PCI 1-Port RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, RS-530, RS-530A, V.35 Synchronous Serial Interface (uses Z16C32) The 5104 Low Profile PCI serial interface provides one synchronous serial port configurable for RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, RS-530, RS-530A, or V.35. The board is capable of data rates to 10M bps. The 5104 utilizes a Z16C32 Integrated Universal Serial Controller (IUSC) with built-in DMA controller and 32-byte FIFO buffer. The board is MD1 Low Profile and Universal Bus (3.3V and 5V) compatible. The 5104 is compatible with any low profile PCI Express slot. A standard profile bracket is also included. Software support, critical for successful synchronous communication development, is provided through Sealevel’s SeaMAC synchronous serial driver.
