www.elma.com VITA 48.8 AIR FLOW THROUGH COOLING PLATFORM CompacFrame, Type39A Elma’s all-new CompacFrame platform accelerates development and test of 3U plug-in-cards (PICs) designed according to the VITA 48.8, Air Flow Through Cooling standard. The 3U card cage in the platform is tilted upwards by 5° for easier card access. The CompacFrame accepts multiple1- slot VPX power & ground backplanes in 1”, 1.2” or 1.5” pitch or the AFT specific 5 slot backplane (1SVX306APP-1X31, 1.5” pitch).

Datasheet-Type39A-VITA48.8-CompacFrame--11.16.23 Functional Features ■ Accommodates 3U modules according to the VITA 48.8 Air-Flow-Through (AFT) standard ■ Using the1SVX306APP-1X31 backplane aligns this CompacFrame for SOSA development ■ 1400W ATX PSU standard ■ Integrated carry handle ■ 5º upwards tilt to card cage ■ Front panel voltage monitoring LEDs and test points ■ Front panel zeroize, NVMRO, reset, and power switches ■ Battery for VBAT connection ■ Includes VITA 46.11 chassis manager with rear accessible Ethernet and serial ports ■ Slot 1 of 1SVX306APP-1X31 backplane is an I/O Intensive slot that supports 3U RTM plus access to Expansion Plane for cabling connections. ■ Slots are for 1.5” VITA 48.8 -3UB (bottom to top airflow) modules
