3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical Spring Connector 316IR is used to electrically connect two or three wire ends, insulate the connection and provide a moisture-resistant seal without stripping of the wires. Insert 2 or 3 un-strip ped conductors completely into connector and check their position by looking through the translucent body. 2. Hold toll perpendicular to the conductors and make the connection by driving the cap down flush with the top edge of the connector body. Parallel Connection Tap/Run Connection WARNING Turn power off before installing or removing terminal. All electrical work should be done according to appropriate electrical codes. Shelf Life & Storage 3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical Spring Connector 316IR has a 5-year shelf life from date of manufacture when stored in a humidity controlled storage (10°C/50°F to 27°C/80°F and <75% relative humidity).
