3M™ Permeable Liquid Flashing Membrane 3015LF Technical Data June 2019 Product Description 3M™ Permeable Liquid Flashing Membrane 3015LF is a commercial grade Silyl Terminated Polyether (STPE) based vapor permeable liquid flashing that is designed for detailing windows, doors, pipe penetrations and other building fenestrations. It can be applied on vertical, horizontal, or overhead surfaces. It is designed to be applied to common building substrates that are dry or damp at temperatures from 25° to 100°F. Combining 3M Permeable Liquid Flashing Membrane 3015LF with 3M™ Vapor Permeable Air Barrier 3015VP as a wall membrane creates a vapor permeable building system. Product Construction Composition Color Packaging STPE Liquid base membrane White 2 gallon pail Features • 25 Perms Desiccant Method (A) - ASTM E96
- VOC content< 100 g/L

- Exceeds AAMA 714 Voluntary Specification for Liquid Applied Flashing Used to Create a Water-Resistive Seal around Exterior Wall Openings in Buildings
- Non-shrinking
- Final cured product is compatible with many building sealants: No adverse reaction with synthetic rubber, butyl, polyurethane, silicone and silane terminated hybrid sealants.
- Can be applied from 25° to 100°F (- 4° to 38°C)
- Service temperature from -40° to 240°F (- 40° to 116°C)
- Excellent adhesion to concrete, concrete block, steel, exterior gypsum sheathing, and wood without the use of any primer.
- Liquid Flashing provides a unique combination of both cold and hot temperature adhesion to most substrates, which can extend the construction season in many climates.
- Fast curing technology which cures quickly – rainproof in 60 minutes; full cure in 24 hours.
- Nail Sealability: Passes ASTM E331/547 (per AAMA 711-05, Annex both before and after thermal cycling.
3M™ Permeable Liquid Flashing Membrane 3015LF When referencing the AAMA 200-12 (windows) and/or 400-13 (doors) standards, the 3M solutions for these standards include:
- 3M™ Permeable Liquid Flashing Membrane 3015LF, an STPE-based membrane, brush/roller- grade liquid flashing
- 3M™ Adhesive Sealant 740UV, a STPE-base, gun-grade, non-sag waterproofing sealant Together, these STPE-based materials allow for wet-on-wet applications and minimize downtime. Application Ideas •Window openings

- To obtain the best adhesion, 3M™ Permeable Liquid Flashing Membrane 3015LF should be applied when temperatures range from 25° to 100°F (-4° to 38°C).
- Surfaces should be clean, free from dirt and debris and have not absorbed water.
- Surfaces should be free of any damaged, unsupported areas, sharp protrusions or voids.
- Concrete must be cured a minimum of 7 days before application.
- Block or brick walls should have mortar joints stuck flush.
- While it can be applied as low as 25°F (-4°C) surfaces must be clear of snow, ice or frost.
- Must be lapped a minimum of 2" with air barrier. MIXING Thoroughly mix the entire container of liquid flashing with a slow-speed (200 to 400 rpm) mechanical mixer (electric drill with a mixing paddle) for two minutes or stick stir until the liquid flash has a consistent white color. APPLICATION Fill gaps and cracks exceeding 1/8" width with 3M™ Adhesive Sealant 740 UV, and tool the surface flush and smooth. Fill gaps exceeding ½"width with closed cell foam backer rod or a foam seal. Then with 3M™ Adhesive Sealant 740 UV, and tool the surface flush and smooth. After mixing the liquid flash, apply to a clean prepared surface using a at least a 3/8" (8.5 mm) nap roller with rounded edges or 2″ (50 mm) or wider brush. 3015LF can also be spray applied. Apply a minimum of 50 mils (1.27 mm) of liquid flashing onto the horizontal pan or sill surface and a minimum of 10 mils (0.254 mm) of liquid flashing onto the vertical surface. Test the thickness using a wet mil gauge. Make sure material contains of no pinholes and is void-free and undamaged. Apply pail cover when not in use to prevent the liquid flash from skinning over. Extend surface preparation a minimum of 2" (50 mm) beyond the termination of the flashing.
3M™ Permeable Liquid Flashing Membrane 3015LF STUCCO ADHESION Adhesion of stucco to 3M™ Permeable Liquid Flashing Membrane 3015LF has been tested in lab conditions using washed Mason Sand broadcast until rejection. Pull adhesion of >30 lbf/sqin was achieved. Adhesion will vary with substrate condition and type of sand. Adhesion testing must be done by installation contractor with actual lots of sand to ensure satisfactory results prior to application. Storage Store in a clean, dry place. Temperature of 40° to 80°F (4° to 26°C) and 40 to 50% R.H. are recommended. Shelf Life To obtain best performance, use this product within 12 months from date of manufacture. Use opened pail within three weeks of open date.
