6AF4-A—2AF4-A—3AF4-A 2AF4-A SAF4-A Leacteont TRIODE eT eee | 12-56 TUBES FOR UHF OSCILLATOR APPLICATIONS = DESCRIPTION AND RATING ">| The 6AF4-A is a miniature medium-mu triode designed for use as a UHF oscillator in television receivers. Features of the tube include low interelectrode capacitances, low internal lead inductances, and short transit time. BASING DIAGRAM The 2AF4-A and 3AF4-A are essentially equivalent to the 6AF4-A, except for heater ratings. In addition, the 2AF4-A and 3AF4-A incorporate a con- (4) trolled heater-warm-up characteristic which makes them especially suited for (3) (5) use in television receivers that employ series-connected heaters. Except for bulb length, the 6AF4-A and 2AF4-A are identical to the 6AF4 ef. 1 and 2AF4, UL Po) GENERAL ELECTRICAL 2AF4-A 3AF4-A GAF4-A O=== 0) Cathode—Coated Unipotential Direct Interelectrode Capacitances} Output. cece cece eect eter reer nee ed pf in I Heater to Cathodef. eal dant Pe sare MECHANICAL Pin 3—Heater Mounting Position—Any Pin 4—Heater Envelope—T-5Y/2, Glass Pin 5—Cathode Base—E7-1, Miniature Button 7-Pin Pin 6—Grid Pin 7—Plate MAXIMUM RATINGS DESIGN-MAXIMUM VALUES Heater-Cathode Voltage a Heater Positive with Respect to Cathode MAX.
