3M™ Precision Masking Tape 06525 • 06526 • 06527 • 06528 Product Uses Tape is designed for use in the professional collision repair industry for paint masking on cars, trucks and other specialty vehicles. Performance Properties Note: The following technical information and data should be considered representative or typical only and should not be used for specification purposes.

  • Smooth and easy unwind.
  • Good paint anchorage reduces the possibility of paint flaking.
  • Translucent backing makes it easy to see what you are masking and when the tape is completely adhered.
  • Solvent and moisture resistant backing.
  • Safe for taping on fresh base coats when applying multiple colors.
  • Great for masking long, straight paint lines.
  • Special acrylic adhesive resists UV degradation making it safe to place masked vehicle outside. Directions for Use Apply tape to surfaces that are thoroughly clean and dry. Press the entire width of the tape down firmly to ensure good adhesion and avoid lifting. Applications For best adhesion surface temperatures should range from 60 to 90°F when tape is applied. For clean removal tapes should be removed at a 90 degree angle using a moderate speed. Storage and Handling For best performance masking tape should be used within twelve months of the date of manufacture. Store tape in the original carton when possible. The best storage conditions for masking tape are 50 to 90°F and 30 to 50% relative humidity. Keep tape in a clean and dry storage area and away from direct sunlight. Do NOT store tape in the paint booth during bake cycles. - 2 -
